Technical SEO Services
Technical SEO is the work of making sure search engines can find, crawl, render and index your pages, and understand how they fit together. It is the foundation every other SEO effort depends on.
From discovery to ranking
Before a page can rank in Google or be cited in an AI answer, it has to be found, fetched, rendered and indexed. A problem at any stage stops it there, however good the content is.
What technical SEO covers
Good content cannot rank if a search engine never reaches it, cannot render it, or files it under the wrong URL. Technical SEO removes those barriers and sends clear signals about which pages matter.
The scope depends on the platform and the size of the site, but most reviews look at the same core areas.
- Crawlability. Robots rules, internal links, sitemaps and server responses that decide what search engines can reach.
- Rendering and indexing. Whether JavaScript-driven content is visible to crawlers, and which pages actually make it into the index.
- Duplication and canonicals. Parameters, filters and near-duplicate pages that split signals across URLs.
- Site architecture. URL structure, navigation depth and internal linking that show how topics relate.
- Performance. Page speed and Core Web Vitals as they affect users and crawl efficiency.
- Structured data. Schema markup that describes your organization, services and content in a machine-readable way.
Technical SEO and AI search
AI search features draw on content that can be crawled and indexed, so the same foundations apply. Google's AI Overviews build on Google's own index. Other platforms, such as ChatGPT search and Perplexity, run their own crawlers, which a restrictive robots.txt or firewall rule can block without anyone noticing. If those crawlers cannot reach your pages, those platforms have little to cite.
Structured data helps systems interpret entities and page types, but it does not guarantee rich results, citations or inclusion in AI answers. It works best as an accurate description of content that is already clear on the page.
How a technical review works
A review combines a full site crawl with Search Console data, server responses and a manual look at templates. Findings are prioritized by their effect on visibility and the effort needed to fix them, so your developers get a short, ordered list instead of a long export.
Technical review is the first stage of every SEO consulting engagement.
